Here are some more pictures from Friday night. You can tell Cal has the Shaw brown eyes and I just LOVE his smile when Ruth is making him laugh!

Saturday night Jared's parents took us out to dinner for my bday. We got some good pics of the boys and the grandparents.

Cal's First Concert

Grammie and PopPop came up to visit Ruth & JR this weekend, and they just couldn't come up here without seeing Big Cal! Cal and I met up everyone for a fun Friday night, at Red Barn BBQ in NRH. We watched "3 Fools on 3 Stools" which is a Texas style folk band. The band didn't start until 8 pm... Cal's bedtime! He was fascinated... we left about 9:15 only because Mommy thought it was about time to go.

Pumpkins & PJs

Ok ok, I will work on getting a picture of me and Cal. It is a little rough these days with only seeing having Dad home Saturday nights and Sundays. During the week I study once Dad gets home and then Cal goes down. If anyone is a pray warrior... please pray for no stress for me with school, work and fam!

Fun Friday!

Mom and Dad took off today, so it has been a fun filled Friday!

This morning we walked/ran to the park to play.

After our big park adventure, Dad made omelets. Then, Cal had a good 2 hour nap while Mom and Dad read. After lunch, we headed to Half Price Books to look for a book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, because Cal's is so worn out.... the binding broke! Dad went to work about 2 and now it's Mommy and Cal time.

Cal has been wanting to use his Cowboys fork for a while so I let him use it the other day. I think you are suppose to wait until 18 months, so we will see.

Labor Day Weekend

My parents came in town for the weekend and we had a blast. Somehow I got ZERO pictures!!! I'm sure I'll get some from my dad, but still... very disappointed in myself. My parents were busy playing, taking care of Cal, and my Mom cooked like crazy... thank you! Jared worked Saturday 8 to 2 and Monday 2 to 6. I studied off and on all weekend and play with the pumpkin. Sunday night Jared's parents came over for his famous baby back ribs.. delish! Cal loved having all his grandparents there to entertain and love on him.
Today was a fun and relaxing day. We woke up and went to breakfast at FlapJacks in North Richland Hills... amazing pancakes! My parents left around 9:30, Cal went down for a nap at 10, Jared watched football and I studied until noon. Once Jared went to work, Cal and I played, went to Target, ran to the park and followed all the kids around. Cal thinks he is just as big as the 2 or even 10 year olds at the park. I have to stay on my toes so he doesn't walk off a big step or something.
All in all.... good weekend :)

Football season has begun......

Past Week

I didn't realize it's been over a week since I've posted! It had been a busy week with me starting school. Class has been good so far. I am taking Dysphagia (swallowing disorders) and Neurogenetic Communication Disorders.... a mouth full! Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jared goes over to his mom's house after practice and eats, helps his mom give Cal a bath and heads home about 7:30- when I'm done with class.
I have class from 4:30-7:30 T/Th. Thursdays I go to my Education Service Center in Fort Worth. It took me only 20 minutes to get home this past Tuesday. On Thursday I have class live online. I can sit in my PJs and no one knows... it's awesome! I miss Cal a lot but I just study when he sleeps and try to spend as much quality time with him as I can.
Jared had his second game(s) last night. Junior high won, Varsity lost. Last night Cal and I decided to visit Aunt Casey in Saginaw. Cal had fun acting like an elephant as he watched Jungle Book and playing the drums. Uncle Jordan didn't get home until 9:00 and we actually kept Cal up! We didn't leave there until 9:30 and Cal crashed as soon as we turned off their street. Right now, Grammie and PopPop are driving up here to spend the long weekend with us. I should have plenty of new pics by Monday on here :)
