Aunt Barb sent Cal a Toy Story book with figures to play with... he loves it!

Happy Father's Day Dad
I wanted to send out a special "Happy Father's Day" to my Dad. I have so many cherished memories with him growing up....
-going out for ice cream
-play Pachinko
-playing in his office
-watching movies
-learning to ride my bike
-fun games that he made up at our birthday parties
-he made me a balance beam to practice my gymnastics skills.. which weren't very much
-swimming at the neighborhood pool
Thank you Dad for all that you did for me growing up! Also for how you continually love and support me and my family. And you know, it is really because of him that I was born. My big sis was 5 and my Dad told my Mom he thought they should have another kid. Mom was happy with only one but it sure is a good thing Dad talked her into it :)

Now PopPop is creating so many special memories with my son..... Thank you!

Saturday
Today started off with studying. Mammie & PawPaw watched Cal while Jared worked on a paper and I studied for a test. After that we went to Zoes Kitchen. It is one of my new favorite places to eat. http://www.zoeskitchen.com/
After a nice nap for Mel and Cal, we got ready for our Denton adventure. Russ and Cindy picked us up and we headed North. For dinner we went to Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant. It is where we had our rehearsal dinner almost 8 years ago. The food was delicious and Cal was so good!
Big Weekend
This weekend is a big one for our family.... June19th is Jared's bday and Father's Day!!! Our weekend is planned around meals. Are we surprised?! :)
Friday for lunch Jared went to Weinberg's Deli in Grapevine. It is a Chicago style deli that Jared loves http://www.weinbergersdeli.com/
For dinner Jared grilled out steak and we opened a great bottle of wine. Cherryblock 2007... so goooooood! The rest of the evening was filled with Cal "fixing" things around the house and a family game of football.

Trinity Park Train
This morning we headed to Trinity Park in Fort Worth to meet Aunt Janna and Cal's two cousins, Liam & Cole. They have a good old fashion train to ride for only $3 per kid and $3.50 for adult... the boys loved it!!!

Summer Time
Our summer schedule is looking good :)
Jared is...
1. working part time at Camp Grapevine driving the bus for field trips. He works MWF from 11:30 to 3:30.
2. taking an independent study and meeting with his professor T/Th 12-1
3. teaching a middle school student Biblical Greek.. I think two 45 min sessions a week.
Mel is...
1. working at a skilled nursing facility for my last internship MWF 8-12
2. taking 4 hours of course work to finish up degree.. TTh 3:30-6:30
Cal is...
1. playing with mom and dad
2. going to the Hurst pool so he can get ready for his August swim lessons
3. playing outside with the water table and in our little pool
4. going to story time once a week
5. playing at Gabba's house with his cousins
Can you tell I'm excited!! :)

Beach Weekend
Cal spent 6 days with my parents.... a few in Austin, then there days in Galveston, and a few more in Austin. Cal has so much fun playing at the beach and spending time with his cousins!
