New Car

As some of you have heard, we got a new car. Well, it's a used car: 2005, Honda CRV. Thursday morning I was going to the gym at 5:30 (go me), and I slid on some ice and hit a light pole. Luckily I was in the old Honda wagon, but the damage was more than the car popped out. My neck and back hurt a little, but besides that I am fine. Around 12:30 we went to find a car and drove off the lot about 3:30. Yeah :)

Icy Day!!!

Mom gets the day off today because of the icy weather. The streets are covered with a sheet of ice, but the sun is up and it is starting to melt away. Mom and Dad are excited to spend a fun day with Cal

Good Picture

Last Saturday night we celebrated PawPaw's 80th birthday. I totally forgot to get a picture of Cal and PawPaw. :( But here is a cute picture of Cal with his Uncle Jordan and almost Aunt Casey (they are getting married in July). "Uncle Jordan, you are so cool, almost as cool as my pappa!"

Food

Cal has been doing great with eating solids. He eats rice cereal with some fruit for breakfast. Then a vegatable for lunch and one for dinner. It may seem early at 5 1/2 months to be eating so much but I'm not complaining. He drinks less milk, which helps me out since I am having trouble producing enough to keep up with him.

Crib Time

Cal's two favorite things to do are sitting up and staring at his mobile. Mommy decided to put them together for "Fun Crib Time".

Chilly Willy!

Man, it's cold out! Daddy is coaching a basketball game so Mommy and Cal are playing inside. Cal loves his blocks... especially his yellow one for some reason.

Favorite Picture

This is my new favorite picture of Cal. His outfit was just so cute I had to take some pictures. It looks like he is even posing for me.

Swing

We went to the park today and Cal loved to swing! He even met a friend there. This little girl came up to talk to Cal and loved holding his hand. When we were leaving we had to tell her to let go.

5 months old

Today is Cal's 5 month birthday! His favorite things to do these days:
-sit up for a little bit and fall over
-put any and everything in his mouth
-grab a anything in reach.... loves mommy's hair
-lay in his crib and laugh at his mobile
-give hugs and kisses
-eat solids.... yummy veggies!

Cal's New Favorite Toy

Cal has enjoyed learning to sit up. He can only last about 30 seconds or so. His recent favorite toys are tuperwear or his little stuffed puppy. He is growing up so fast!

Solids

Last week we started up solids. I know it seems early at 4 1/2 months but our pediatrician suggested just tyring it out. We started with carrots and he ate about a third of a jar in each sitting. After four days of that we tried out green beans... and he loved them! He ate up the whole jar in one sitting. We are going to keep trying some more yummy veggies!

Cal Flies!

In the past few weeks Cal has become a lot more alert. He is always checking everything out around him and studying his hands or long sleeves. Cal has also become more and more playful. He loved "flying" around and laughed a lot.

Bath Time

Last week I was trying to give Calvin a bath in his baby bathtub, but kept trying to sit up and got upset. Yesterday we gave him a bath in the sink and he loved it! I loved holding on and checking out his rubber ducky. He is so chubby!!
