PawPaw Fun

PawPaw came over again today to try to fix the lawn mower but they couldn't figure it out. Cal was excited to play with is PawPaw :)

Big Helper

Today Paw-Paw came over to try to help us fix our lawn mower. Cal was a big help as Head Supervisor. Cal decided that they need to reconvene Sunday and start taking it apart to figure out what's wrong. Way to go Big Cal!

The Best Daddy Ever!

Jared has blown away my expectations of his role as a father and husband. He watches Cal at least 2 1/2 days a week as he is still coaching part time at CCA. There are times when I think Jared is better at soothing Cal than I am. Maybe it's because Cal sees him more than me. All I know, is that I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I knew Jared would be a wonderful father one day when I married him. Who know he would take a day like today (when he could be reading at a coffee shop) to play, take care of, and enjoy our sweet baby boy. God is good!

Grandma & Grandpa

This is Cal with Jared's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Brown. We definitely don't share as much as we should about these wonderful Grandparents. Tonight they came over for dinner and enjoyed playing with Cal. Grandma got to help give Cal a bath and Grandpa got Cal laughing up a storm. Grandma Brown, Cindy, watches Cal while we are at work, which is a HUGE blessing! I never go to work worrying about Cal not getting taken care of or anything. We are truly blessed for the sacrifices they make for us. Thank you Russ and Cindy!!!

NY

7 months old

Yesterday, Cal turned 7 months old. He has grown up so much in the last month! He is flipping over back to tummy, he can turn him self around a full 360, he is talking a lot more and trying to crawl. Jared swears he can say "dada", but really the "da" is easy for this age to say.

We Love Our Grammies!

While we were in Austin, Cal and I met up with my two friends from high school, Kelly and Rachel. Rachel has two kids, Asher (4 yrs old) and Adeline (9 months old). Rachel's mom, Sherry, and my mom work together in the schools. We thought we would take some cute pictures for them to show off at work :)

It's Been a While

So I haven't blogged in forever. Our internet at home has been broken and now we are in Austin. I can't figure out how to get pictures on my mom's computer, so it may be a little bit longer. This past Saturday we celebrated Kenzie's first birthday. Cal had fun meeting all of her friends and playing. Sunday morning we (Me, Jared, Cal, my mom and dad) got up early and headed to Houston. Cal got to meet Great-Granny (my mom's mother) and my Aunt Barbara and Uncle Paul. Granny mentioned that Cal is very "well mannered." I'm not sure if a 7 month old can really be "well mannered"! We headed back to Austin Monday morning and stopped in Bastrop for some lunch and walking around. Today, we went to Zilker Park with Cousin Kenzie and Aunt Krissy. We got to feed the ducks and watch kids run around at the park. Tomorrow Cal will get to meet Mommy's high school freidns, Kelly and Rach, as well as Rach's kids, Asher and Adeline. I promise I will try to post pictures soon!

6 1/2 month check up

Cal had his 6 month check up (even though he is really 6 1/2 months old). The doc said he looks great! He said we can bump up to stage 2 foods if we want. He said he could start "commando crawling" soon and don't worry about total crawling until 9 months. Cal is sitting up beautifully and rolling over tummy to back. He is almost rolling over from back to tummy.

Head: 17 3/4 in. (75%)
Length: 28 in (85%) I think it was 28 in, I lost the paper I wrote all this down on.
Weight: 21 lb. (85%)

Baseball Time

I LOVE the picture in Jared's St.Louis hat... he looks like a little boy. And don't worry everyone, Cal's favorite team is the Yankees and he just bought a Jeter outfit to prove it. Pictures will come soon :P)

Fun with the Andersons

This weekend Kristen, Dennis and Cousin Kenzie came in town to hang out. We had a blast playing, going to the park, taking bathes, and causing chaos. Cousin Kenzie is all over the place crawling and pulling up.... that will be Cal before we know it!
