10 lbs

We have been curious about Calvin's weight lately. We used a very fancy and "accurate" way of weighing him yesterday.... I got on the scale, then I got on with Cal in my arms and subtracted the numbers. He is exactly 10 lbs! Big boy :) Cal's shirt says "Born Handsome (like Daddy)". I bought it when I was about 6 months prego... who knew I would have a mini-Jared for a son! I think the only things he got from me are his long feet, and his lips that look like mine as a baby.

Pee

So I heard that boys like to pee everywhere, but thinking Cal was still healing from his circumcision, I didn't think to cover him up. He has successfully peed on his mother twice, once in the middle of the night... and it got on the carpet as well. Yesterday he had a hay-day and peed on me, the comforter, and my phone! My aunt gave me some "tee-tee tee-pee"s, so now I never change his diaper without them!

First Bath

Cal had his first bath Sunday afternoon and tolerated it pretty well. We put him in the tub asleep :)

Cuddle Bug

Calvin is 6 days old now and just loves to eat, sleep and cuddle. We feel like we are very blessed with a sweet, calm baby. I will have to go back to work
October 10th :( It will be hard but I think it will be doable with a baby who sleeps like he does.

First Tummy Time

Calvin did so good with his first tummy time at 5 days old. He liked it at first then got upset, but lasted 5 minutes. Yeah for strong arms and neck!

Calvin is here!!!

My sweet baby boy has finally arrived. He was born on Aug 19th, 5:25 am. It was real quick.... my contractions started at 1:30 am and he was out in about 4 hours, crazy!
Weight: 8lb, 9 oz (big, or everyone says he is)
Height: 20 3/4 inches
He looks JUST like Jared did when he was a baby. We only stayed in the hospital a little over 24 hours. We are home and getting use to this new little addition to our life. God is so good :)

Waiting

I am due the 20th, only 6 days away! I went to the doctor yesterday and I am now dilated to 3 cm and still effaced 80%. He thinks Calvin will come within the week, but we have scheduled an induction date for the 26th. My doctor is a planner and just wants to be prepared incase he is a week late. He doesn't like his patients going past 41 weeks. This all makes me nervous. I really want to go "all natural", so starting out labor with drugs to induce is not my first choice, but we will see what Calvin decides to do. :)

The Nursery

It's finally done! We are both so excited about him coming soon!! Let's pray for a fast and good delivery.

We've moved!

We are finally moved and almost settled in our new place. My mom, sister and Kenzie drove down and helped out a lot. They painted Calvin's room which makes a hudge difference in there. His room is almost done. We just have to hang a few more things on the walls and do a little organizing. I went to the doc yesterday and he said I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. I have 2 more weeks but he could come any day!!!
