Graduate School, Milk and a Job?

This picture is Cal helping me clean up my desk area because..... I found out that I have been accepted into the TWU distance Graduate program for Speech-Language Pathology!! This is unofficial, as I heard it from someone and have not received a letter yet. I will continue to work full time for the schools and take two classes a semester. One will be at a service center not too far from my house and the other will be on a web cam at home. My practicum each semester will be my job. I will graduate Aug of 11 and Cal will be 3 years old. It will be hard, but Jared is willing to do whatever he needs to do to help. We also have my in-laws here, who are a huge help.

Graduate school acceptance leads to the milk mentioned in the title (skip this paragraph if you don't want to read about my milk production). At first I was excited about the program but then a few days later I got super stressed about it. That caused me to decrease the amount of milk I've been making... no good for Cal! Luckily I am feeling not as stressed (i.e. the clean desk) and Jared has helped me talk through things and I have been making more. We are having Cal drink more homemade formula, and his body seems to be taking it well.

Last but not least the job. Jared has been coaching at a private school this year and we've been praying that a teaching position opens up, primarily in the Bible department. This week he had lunch/interview with the Headmaster and Dean. Jared proposed curriculum for 1st to 12th grade and shared his desire to teach God's word and Theology. They loved it and said they need to check with enrollment and employment about getting him a job. Let's pray this is the job Jared has been waiting for, and if not, that if will show up soon!

I am so excited for you!!! You will do great in grad school. Just remember, you don't have to be perfect and take things as they come (I need to give this advice to myself too :) AND we have been thinking of Jared and how wonderful he will be in this position...keep us updated!!

This all great news. Congrats on your acceptance to TWU I am sure you will do great! About the milk don't worry too much. Same happened to me, now MA relies on formula mostly. Doctor's said that I have already gave him all the antibodies he needs from me. I will be praying for Jared that this will work out. This seems like a very promising year for you guys! Lets keep all the hopes up!
